Erzincan Governor Hamza Aydoğdu visited the family of July 15 martyr Recep Gündüz living in Tercan district on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
3rd Army Chief of Staff and Garrison Commander Major General Murat Ataç, Tercan District Governor Neslihan Kısa Duman, representatives of political parties and non-governmental organizations and the provincial and district protocol attended the visit.
In the program, the Holy Quran was recited for martyr Recep Gündüz, Mevlid-i Şerif was read and prayers were said.
Governor Aydoğdu, who later chatted with the martyr's father Yaşar Gündüz and his family members for a while, stated that the state always stands by the families of the martyrs.
Aydoğdu said, "Our state and nation are always with the precious families of our beloved martyrs, who are entrusted to them. The sacrifices made by our beloved martyrs and heroic veterans will never be forgotten. We remember our martyr Recep Gündüz, who sacrificed his life for the sake of the country, and all our beloved martyrs with mercy, gratitude and prayers. May they rest in peace." he said.
