Argentina midfielder Rodrigo de Paul, who will face England in the 2026 FIFA World Cup semi-final tomorrow, said that they will play with a strong team that has done well so far in the World Cup.
Making a statement to the press before the training held at Atlanta United Training Facilities, the 32-year-old football player stated that the entire team enjoyed playing in the World Cup.
Stating that every match is a final for them, Paul said, "We have always seen it this way. We are facing a strong opponent that we have never met before. They did very well in the World Cup, just like us. It will be a very good match. Of course, we like to play such matches. We enjoy such matches due to our position, so we are ready for tomorrow." he said.
Answering the question about team captain Lionel Messi, de Paul stated that he loves the star football player very much and said, "It makes me very happy to see him enjoying himself on the field. He has experienced a lot and fought a lot in this jersey. I think he is playing with complete pleasure in this World Cup. We all know his mentality, how he prepares, how he lives every match. As his friend, it makes me very happy to see him happy and enjoying." He made a statement.
Adding that he was very excited that they were one match away from playing the World Cup final, Paul said:
"There is no better motivation than this. Of course, there will always be concerns because we are playing with a very great team, a team with great players, a great coach. But such concerns are part of the job. We are trying to keep these concerns under control. Tomorrow, the whole world will definitely watch the match, it will be a very good show, we will try to enjoy it. I hope the best side wins."
