SAN: 1 person died and 3 people went missing as a result of the boat capsizing off the coast of San Francisco, California, USA.
Authorities in San Francisco announced that a boat carrying mostly the same family members capsized near the touristic Alcatraz Island off the city's coast.
Authorities announced that the teams dispatched to the scene found the boat "almost completely submerged" and its engine turned on.
Noting that 16 people on the boat were rescued, the authorities stated that 1 person lost his life and search and rescue activities were continuing for the 3 missing people.
Stating that it was initially reported that the accident occurred due to flames, the authorities stated that there is no evidence in this direction yet, and that there were no burn marks on the few injured people.
