UNITED Nations (UN) stated that Israeli forces continue to move the so-called "Yellow Line" in Gaza and that there are serious disruptions in the delivery of basic aid to the Palestinians due to the "environment of mistrust" created around the line.
Farhan Haq, Deputy Spokesperson of the UN Secretary-General, gave information about the latest situation in Gaza at the daily press conference.
Stating that officials of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) stated that the UN and its aid partners continue to face significant difficulties in reaching Palestinians near the Yellow Line inside the Gaza Strip, Haq stated that the mobility of Israeli forces in the line area continues.
Haq said that the Palestinian representatives they met in the region explained that Israel was constantly moving the Yellow Line and said, "They described the daily movements of Israeli tanks, the construction of sandbars and the repeated gunshots. It was reported that the families stayed in their tents for most of the day for fear of being injured." he said.
Haq emphasized that the delivery of basic aid to Palestinians has been seriously disrupted due to the "insecurity environment" created by Israeli forces in these regions, and noted that for this reason, some Palestinians want to relocate within Gaza, but there are not many options due to limited areas.
"Yellow Line" refers to the dividing line from which the Israeli army is expected to withdraw as part of the first phase of the US plan to end the war in Gaza, which comes into force in October 2025.
However, the Palestinian side states that Israel does not fully adhere to these regulations and continues to attack civilians nearby by constantly advancing the Yellow Line inwards.
