A traditional military ceremony was held in the capital Paris on the occasion of France's July 14 National Day.
The street was closed to vehicle traffic for the traditional military parade organized every year on Paris' famous Champs-Elysees Street as part of the national holiday.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy was the "guest of honour" at the ceremony attended by French President Emmanuel Macron, his wife Brigitte Macron, Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu, Defense Minister Catherine Vautrin, as well as leaders of many member states of the Coalition of Volunteers.
As Zelenskiy arrived at the ceremony, he was applauded by coalition member state leaders, including British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
At the ceremony, where the French national anthem "La Marseillaise" was sung, approximately 500 foreign soldiers from coalition countries, including Ukraine, were present at the official parade, while Rafale and Mirage 2000 type warplanes flew in the skies of Paris.
While a total of 6 thousand 686 soldiers were present at the ceremony, 315 vehicles, 98 aircraft, 33 helicopters and 193 horses also took part.
This year, citizens attended the ceremony held under the theme of "Europe's strategic awakening" with the QR code sent to them by local authorities upon their request.
Macron, who will bid farewell to office next year, attended the military parade on July 14 National Day as president for the last time.
In his speech to the military units in Paris yesterday, Macron evaluated that he was ready to defend "freedom" and "law" at the expense of the blood of the French and Europeans.
