An Expanded Security and Public Order Meeting was held in Gökçeada district of Çanakkale, chaired by District Governor Osman Acar, to evaluate the peace and security of the district during the tourism season.
The Expanded Security and Public Order Meeting held in Gökçeada was attended by the District Police Chief, District Gendarmerie Commander, Coast Guard Boat Commanders, and the heads of relevant security units. Measures to be taken to ensure that citizens and visitors can spend their time in peace and security in Gökçeada, especially considering the increased visitor density during the summer season, were thoroughly discussed.
During the meeting, security measures to be implemented during the tourism season, traffic order and controls, the protection of public order, measures to be taken in coastal and picnic areas, coordination activities for emergencies, and current issues related to public order were evaluated. Activities to further strengthen cooperation and coordination among relevant institutions were also discussed.
District Governor Osman Acar, who made evaluations at the meeting, stated that protecting Gökçeada's environment of peace and security is their top priority, saying: "We are working day and night with great dedication, together with all our law enforcement forces, to further strengthen Gökçeada's characteristic as one of Turkey's safest districts. We will continue to resolutely take all necessary measures to ensure that our citizens and guests visiting our district live in a safe, peaceful, and healthy environment."
It was stated that relevant institutions will continue their activities uninterruptedly in coordination, in line with the understanding of protecting public order, effectively combating crime, and providing citizen-oriented services. - ÇANAKKALE
