Halkbank General Manager Recep Süleyman Özdil stated that the bank's relief from the burden of the legal process in the USA will also increase its foreign resource opportunities and said, "We will put those resources at the service of our valuable business people." he said.

Real Sector and Finance Sector Dialogue Strengthening Meeting was held at TOBB Twin Towers.

In his speech here, Özdil said that the economy is not an area managed only by numbers, and that the real power of the economy comes from people who produce, invest, provide employment and take risks.

Pointing out that the financial sector is an integral and integral part of this effort, Özdil stated that it is necessary to strengthen the ties between the financial sector and the real sector in order to increase economic resilience.

Explaining that the current situation imposes important responsibilities on the financial sector, Özdil said, "The Turkish financial sector has the capacity, talent and power to bear this burden. We do not see banks only as institutions that provide loans, we see them as business partners that facilitate investment and produce solutions to the needs of the real sector. The Turkish banking sector has a very solid structure compared to many countries." he said. Emphasizing that this strong structure is an important element of trust for the real sector, Özdil explained that they are one of the institutions that provide the highest support to SMEs.

Özdil stated that they support SMEs, industrialists, young and women entrepreneurs and will continue to do so, and made the following evaluation:

"Halkbank had a burden brought on by the legal process in the USA. Since we have been freed from that burden, our foreign resource opportunities will increase from now on and we will put those resources at the service of you, our valued business people. Hopefully, this year, starting from September-October, we have activities to obtain resources worth 4-5 billion dollars from abroad. We will put these resources completely at your service. We promise to mobilize all our strength and means for you."

Ziraat Bank General Manager Alpaslan Çakar said that the world was being reshaped politically and economically and that one of the periods when uncertainty was at its peak was experienced. Stating that this situation brings both new opportunities and new challenges for everyone, Çakar stated that Türkiye is an open economy and is directly affected by all global situations.

Çakar emphasized that Türkiye is implementing an economic program in this context and the main target is price stability, and said, "Because if we do not ensure price stability, it is not possible to achieve financial, economic and political stability. These are all elements that feed and complement each other. We cannot reduce inflation without price stability, and we cannot ensure sustainable economic growth and predictability as long as inflation does not decrease." made his assessment.

Pointing out that the effect of geopolitical tensions on prices is directly visible, Çakar underlined that the energy prices predicted in the Medium Term Program (MTP) have been exceeded considerably.

Çakar stated that these prices are one of the main determining items and trigger inflation, especially for countries that import energy, and continued as follows:

"However, despite all this, the inflation trend is really downwards. Our future is clear, provided that the general inflation trend is downwards and this current war and cyclical situations, especially in the nearby geography, do not evolve into a more negative situation. This process is an achievable process and this inflation will definitely be reduced. We are heading there."

"We will eliminate the problem of access to finance"

VakıfBank General Manager Osman Arslan said that the aim of the ongoing economic program is to establish a predictable and healthy economic infrastructure.

Pointing out that the Turkish economy will emerge strong in this process despite the war and negative situations in the region, Arslan said, "We will get through this period together." he said.

Arslan emphasized the importance of the problem of access to finance and noted that they would take careful note of the problems and recommendations of the real sector.

Pointing out the importance of the 1 trillion lira loan package with favorable conditions announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan yesterday, Arslan said, "I think that with the announcement of the details of this package, we, as all public banks, will largely eliminate the problem of access to finance by delivering these to our industrialists and business world under the most favorable conditions and in the fastest way." he said.

Arslan underlined that the Turkish banking sector is more suitable to support the business world and the real economy due to both its capital and resource structure, and said:

"As public banks, problems and difficulties will be overcome more easily with more one-to-one communication in the future. In fact, I would like to take this opportunity to make a suggestion: Let's create a 'finance line' in public banks. Let's place expert teams here and I believe that we will provide faster solutions by receiving requests directly. Just as public banks took responsibility in the past, whether during the pandemic period, during the economic crisis or during the earthquake, believe and trust us, we will show the same sensitivity and the same determination from now on."
