Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Garibabadi said that the Islamabad Memorandum has disappeared due to the US's attacks and attempt to re-impose the naval blockade.
Speaking to the Young Journalists Club (YJC) affiliated with state television, Garibabadi evaluated the war that flared up again despite the agreement with the USA.
Garibabadi stated that the USA completely violated the agreement reached on June 14, called the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, due to military attacks and the attempt to re-impose the naval blockade, and said, "The USA destroyed the entire infrastructure and basic framework of the agreement." he said.
Stating that Iran has given military responses to the USA and will continue to do so, Garibabadi said, "Iran does not feel any obligation regarding the agreement under these conditions. There is no agreement left for us to talk about now. The USA has done everything to violate the memorandum of understanding. No country should expect Iran to fulfill its commitments." he said.
