Condolences in Ankara for the former Emir of Qatar - Last Minute

At Qatar's Ankara Embassy, ​​condolences were accepted for the former Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, who passed away.

According to the written statement made by the embassy, ​​the condolence reception was hosted by Qatar's Ambassador to Ankara, Faisal Abdulla Al-Henzab.

Representatives of public institutions, members of diplomatic missions, representatives of non-governmental organizations, names from the business world and many people attended the program held in the embassy building and expressed their condolences.

Accepting the condolences, Ambassador Al-Henzab reiterated his condolences to the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Al Thani family and the people of Qatar.

Stating that the former Emir of Qatar, the late Al Thani, was a visionary statesman who pioneered Qatar's development process and strengthened the country's position in the regional and international arena, Al-Henzab stated that the development vision and state understanding he put forward will be maintained with the same determination.

Ambassador Al-Henzab stated that Türkiye sincerely shared Qatar's pain after the news of his death was heard, and said that the condolence messages published by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, state officials, political party leaders and many Turkish officials are a strong indicator of the brotherhood and strategic partnership between the two countries.

Expressing that Turkish officials appreciated the contributions of the former Emir of Qatar, the late Al Thani, to the state of Turkey-Qatar relations in their messages, Al-Henzab emphasized that the late Al Thani played an important role in strengthening the foundations of the strategic partnership between the two countries.

During the condolence reception, guests expressed their condolences to Qatar and its people by evaluating the political legacy of the late former Emir of Qatar Al Thani, his contributions to the development of the country, and his historical role in the strong relations that have developed between Turkey and Qatar in recent years.
