KIRŞEHİR (IHA) – Kırşehir Governor Murat Sefa Demiryürek, in his message on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day; He stated that the treacherous coup attempt that took place on the night of July 15, 2016 was failed thanks to the will of the nation, love of the country and loyalty to the state.
Governor Demiryürek stated that the citizens who took to the streets upon the call of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan showed the whole world that there can be no power above the national will, with the courage, determination and sacrifice they showed at the expense of their lives. Demiryürek emphasized that every segment of the nation showed a historical example of heroism that night; He noted that July 15 was not only the date when a coup attempt was prevented, but also a turning point where unity and solidarity, commitment to democracy and love of the country were demonstrated in the strongest way. Demiryürek stated in his message that the spirit of unity and solidarity is the greatest strength of the nation; He stated that this awareness is the strongest guarantee of the determination to protect democracy, the rule of law and the national will, and that the peace, security and future of the country will continue to be protected by uniting around common values. Governor Demiryürek stated that the state will resolutely continue its fight against all kinds of threats to the constitutional order, the peace of the nation and the security of the country, within the framework of the principles of the rule of law, and stated that no initiative towards unity and integrity with the support of the nation can achieve its goal.
At the end of his message, Governor Murat Sefa Demiryürek stated that he commemorated the martyrs who lost their lives for the sake of the country on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day with mercy, gratitude and respect, and wished the veterans a healthy and peaceful life. - KIRŞEHİR
