Mardin Metropolitan Municipality Water and Sewerage Administration (MARSU) General Directorate has completed the drilling well activities that it started in order to increase the drinking water capacity in the rural Eryeri District of Artuklu district.
In the statement made by MARSU, it was stated that the drilling well activities, which were initiated in order to meet the water needs arising from the increasing population and the formation of new settlement areas in the rural Eryeri District, have been completed.
In the statement, it was stated that 7 liters of water per second were obtained from the 500-meter deep borehole opened within the scope of the activities carried out, and it was emphasized that the connection activities for the integration of the well into the existing network to deliver water to the neighborhood are continuing.
MARSU General Manager Murat Erçin, whose views were included in the statement, stated that they continue their activities to strengthen the drinking water infrastructure in the province.
"Drinking water investments are a dynamic sector. In line with our investment programs, we continue our activities to increase the drinking water capacity of the settlements that have become inadequate in terms of drinking water needs by evaluating the demands from our citizens. We have increased the drinking water capacity with the new borehole we opened in Eryeri Neighborhood."
Eryeri Neighborhood Headman İhsan Acay also thanked the Governor and Deputy Metropolitan Mayor Tuncay Akkoyun and MARSU General Manager Murat Erçin for permanently solving the water problem in the neighborhood of approximately 300 households.
