"15 July Martyrs' Commemoration National Bicycle Road Race" organized by Muğla Governorship and the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports has started.
129 athletes from 19 provinces participating in the race gathered at the Republic Square in front of the Governorship with their bicycles.
The tour was started by Muğla Governor İdris Akbıyık, Menteşe District Governor Ali Edip Budan, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras and other protocol members.
In his statement to journalists, Governor İdris Akbıyık stated that they were proud to host the athletes in Muğla on a meaningful day and wished success to all athletes participating in the race.???????????????
In the stage starting from Menteşe district, cyclists will complete the 62-kilometer track in approximately 2 hours and reach the hotel in Marmaris where President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stayed during the coup attempt on July 15, 2016 and where FETO's assassination team attacked immediately after his departure.
