In Şuhut district of Afyonkarahisar, a Mawlid-i Sharif program was held at the Grand Mosque for the martyrs within the framework of the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day programs.
While citizens showed great interest in the program organized by Şuhut District Mufti's Office, all the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the indivisible integrity of the homeland, the independence of the nation and sacred values, especially the heroes who were martyred in the treacherous coup attempt of July 15, were commemorated with mercy, gratitude and prayers.
After the recitation of the Holy Quran and the reading of the Mawlid-i Sharif, Şuhut District Mufti Ali Üney prayed for the souls of the beloved martyrs.
While messages of unity, solidarity and brotherhood were given throughout the program, it was emphasized that the epic resistance put forward by the nation on July 15 should not be forgotten. Participants expressed their belief that the homeland entrusted to us by the martyrs will be protected forever. - AFYONKARAHİSAR
