Mawlid programs were held in mosques for the martyrs in Edirne, Kırklareli and Tekirdağ on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
In the program held at Selimiye Mosque in Edirne, Mawlid was read and prayers were made for the martyrs.
Mawlid candy was served after the program attended by institution managers, police officers and citizens.
On the other hand, the prayer of 2 thousand 530 marshmallows read for the souls of 253 martyrs who marched to martyrdom on July 15 by Edirne Foundations Regional Directorate was made in the sultan mosques in Uzunköprü, Lüleburgaz and Kırklareli, especially in Selimiye Mosque.
In the program at Orta Mosque in Tekirdağ, the Holy Quran was read and prayers were made.
Governor Recep Soytürk, Süleymanpaşa District Governor Mahmut Nedim Tunçer, Provincial Police Chief Ahmet Metin Turanlı, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Colonel Ahmet Çetin, institution managers and citizens attended the program.
The program at Hızırbey Mosque in Kırklareli started with the reading of the Holy Quran.
Provincial Mufti Yusuf Eviş and the muezzins read mawlid and eulogies and prayed.
Governor Uğur Turan, 55th Mechanized Infantry Brigade Commander Brigadier General Erdal Köse, Mayor Derya Bulut, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Senior Colonel Yusuf Eskitürk, Provincial Police Chief Sinan Çamuroğlu, protocol members and citizens attended the program.
