US President Donald Trump made evaluations regarding election security and the election system in his 27-minute address to the nation.
Referring to the 2020 presidential elections, Trump claimed that approximately 250 thousand foreigners were illegally transferred as voters, and that the names of those who lost their lives were still on the voter lists.
During his first term as president, Trump claimed that China aimed to force him to resign and prevent him from being re-elected.
Referring to the CIA report, Trump argued that the Chinese Communist Party aimed to reduce his vote share in mid-2018, and announced that he would declassify the intelligence reports regarding these allegations.
Claiming that the US election system is open to foreign interventions, Trump said, "Hundreds of millions of US voter files are in the hands of foreign governments. Our machines and vote counting systems are open to cyber attacks, manipulation and corruption." he said.
Trump said, "This situation is worse than any third world country. There is no third world country with an election system like ours. A solution needs to be found with a non-partisan approach to establish a safe and fair election system in the USA." he said.
Trump also argued that the licenses of television channels that did not broadcast his address to the nation should be revoked.
