SHANGHAI, July 17 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping said that China will offer 5,000 training and seminar opportunities in artificial intelligence to developing countries over the next five years.
Xi delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference and the High-Level Meeting on Global Artificial Intelligence Governance, held on Friday in Shanghai, eastern China.
Xi said that China will establish international artificial intelligence application cooperation centers with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the Arab League, the African Union, the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and BRICS.
Xi also said that China will support 30 countries in utilizing the AI-powered MAZU meteorological early warning system to contribute to protecting people's lives and property worldwide.
