US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said, "The US Treasury Department remains committed to disrupting and weakening Iran's illicit financial activities, including the misuse of digital assets. Today, the Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) placed numerous digital wallets affiliated with the Central Bank of Iran on the sanctions list. As a result of this action, over $130 million in assets were frozen. We will continue to aggressively monitor the flow of money to prevent the Iranian regime from accessing funds obtained from illegal income sources." -WASHINGTON
