The fire, which broke out in the forest area in Bornova district of Izmir, was taken under control as a result of the intervention of the teams from air and land. Cooling activities continue in the region.
The fire occurred around 12.50 in the forest area in İnönü District of Bornova district. Upon the notice of those who saw the smoke, teams from the Izmir Regional Directorate of Forestry were dispatched to the region. First response to the fire was carried out at 13:00. The activities initiated to control the flames as soon as possible were intervened from the air with 2 planes and 4 helicopters, and from the land with 16 water tankers, 6 water supply vehicles and 1 dozer.
While the fire was brought under control as a result of the effective intervention of the teams, cooling activities were initiated in the region. - IZMIR
