BEIJING, July 15 (Xinhua) -- China's gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 4.7 percent in the first half of the year compared to the same period last year.
According to data announced by the Chinese National Bureau of Statistics on Wednesday, China, the world's second largest economy, produced approximately 69.57 trillion yuan (approximately 10.25 trillion US dollars).
The country's economy grew by 4.3 percent in the second quarter compared to the same period last year.
