A large-scale operation was carried out in 81 provinces under the coordination of chief public prosecutors' offices to expose the FETO/PDY Armed Terrorist Organization.
In simultaneous operations held on July 13, 2026, action was taken against 973 suspects who were considered to be linked to FETO/PDY. While 704 of the suspects were caught and taken into custody, it was reported that activities to capture 269 people who were on the run were continuing.
It was announced that 170 of the 704 suspects taken into custody were active public personnel. In addition, there are 6 retired public personnel, 44 dismissed public personnel and 484 private sector employees and civilian suspects among the suspects in custody.
Among the active public personnel, there were 97 people affiliated with the Ministry of Internal Affairs. It was stated that 1 of them was a police chief, 1 was a commissioner, 94 were police officers and 1 was a gendarmerie personnel.
It was reported that 14 people affiliated with the Ministry of Justice were detained, including 1 court clerk, 8 correctional officers and 5 freelance lawyers.
