In the forest fire that started yesterday evening in Muğla's Milas district, it was announced that the fire was largely under control, while activities continued by air and land at the first light of the day.
The fire broke out in the forest area in Gürçamlar District Kazıklı-Bozbük location for an unknown reason. The flames, which grew rapidly under the influence of the wind, spread over a wide area throughout the night and reached the Kaplankaya region, where luxury villas and hotels are located. Forest workers and firefighters dispatched from Milas and surrounding districts fought intensely against the flames throughout the night. Counterfire was applied in order to stop the progress of the fire at critical points. As the weather got brighter, the intervention was intensified from both air and land, with the reactivation of aircraft.
