In ANKARA, the July 15 martyrs were commemorated at their graves on the 10th anniversary of the coup attempt.

The commemoration ceremony held at the 15 July Martyrs' Cemetery in Karşıyaka Cemetery; Minister of Internal Affairs Mustafa Çiftçi, Ankara Governor Yakup Canbolat, Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş, Gendarmerie General Commander General Ali Çardakcı, General Director of Police Ali Fidan, Coast Guard Commander Vice Admiral Ahmet Kendir and Ankara Police Chief Maksut Yüksek, political party representatives, military officials, relatives and veterans of martyrs, police officers and citizens attended. After a moment of silence, the National Anthem was sung at the ceremony. At the ceremony where the Holy Quran was read, Ankara Mufti Hasan Çınar prayed for the martyrs. Minister Mustafa Çiftçi left carnations on the graves of the martyrs and expressed his condolences to the families of the martyrs. Minister Çiftçi also took a photo and chatted with 6-year-old Ömer Halis, who visited the martyrs' cemetery with his father.

Hüseyin Deniz, father of Sümer Deniz, who was martyred in the Presidential Complex on July 15, said, "Without these, this country would not exist. Traitors did everything they could to destroy the country. Traitors have infiltrated us. These traitors used the taxes we paid and the weapons against us, our citizens. They do not have a place and a homeland, but we have a place and a homeland. This country is ours. We will keep this country until we die." "We will wait. We always give martyrs. We are always ready."

Defne Cansız (13), the daughter of Selim Cansız, who was martyred in front of the General Staff, said about her father, "He was a very nice father. He was the best."
