Murat Cingöz, who lives in Sivas, created a collection of more than 15 thousand model cars in 35 years. Cingöz, who described the collection room as a "therapy room", said that he found peace here even in his most stressful moments.
Murat Cingöz, who lives in Sivas, has been collecting model cars, which he started when he was a child, for 35 years. Cingöz, who designed the collection room, which hosts thousands of model cars, said that this place turned into a therapy area for him. Stating that he has been collecting since his childhood, Cingöz stated that his collection started to take its current form with the first model car he bought in 1991. Cingöz, who brought together more than 15 thousand model cars from many brands, especially Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Tomica and Mini GT, used the walls, shelves and ceiling of the room with his own design when there was no space left.
Stating that he prepared the entire collection room with his own effort, Murat Cingöz said, "I am the youngest in the family, we are five siblings. My elders always brought me toy gifts because I was the youngest. In fact, I have been collecting for as long as I can remember, but my reference point started with the first model car I bought in nineteen ninety-one. This year, we have passed the thirty-fifth anniversary. Over the years, my collection has exceeded fifteen thousand pieces. When there was no room, I stared at the ceiling. On the ceiling, I designed myself and produced with a 3D printer." "I fixed approximately three thousand five hundred model cars with the equipment." he said.
"In stressful times, I spend time here instead of going to a psychologist."
Stating that the collection has more spiritual meaning for him than its material value, Murat Cingöz said, "No matter how stressed I am when entering the room, the moment I enter through this door, I see this place as a therapy room. All my stress and distress disappear within five minutes. I feel very relaxed. I prefer to spend time here instead of going to the psychologist and paying thousands of liras." he said.
"Children should be encouraged to collect"
Giving advice to families, Murat Cingöz said, "My biggest advice to families is to encourage their children, especially during adolescence, to collect collections. This model does not have to be a car, it can be another collection. This way, children stay away from bad habits.
