Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the Ahbap Association, its president, Haluk Levent, was taken into custody in Bursa by teams from the Istanbul Police Financial Crimes Branch Directorate on charges of 'violating the Associations Law,' 'laundering asset values derived from crime,' and 'membership in an organization.'
It was determined that Levent gambled 990 million lira and lost 390 million lira between 2020 and 2026. Additionally, it was identified that 120 million lira was transferred from the Ahbap Association's account to his assistant Yeliz Kaya's account.
Meanwhile, a post made by Haluk Levent on his social media account in 2019 resurfaced after the aforementioned developments. The famous singer, who ranked first in the 'Most Trusted Celebrities in Turkey' list in 2019, drew attention with his comment on the matter.
Levent's message, "You've chosen me as number 1 again this year... My pride is certainly flattered... But don't trust me too much... I could sell you out at any moment... I didn't sell you out last year, but I swear I will this year! Any moment!" became one of the most shared posts on social media.
