AFAD, gendarmerie and medical teams were mobilized for the 14-year-old child who was trapped in Döngel Cave in Kahramanmaraş's Onikişubat district. The injured child, who was rescued alive by a joint operation, was taken to the hospital by ambulance after first aid at the scene. An investigation has been launched into the incident.

A 14-year-old boy, who was injured and trapped by falling in the Döngel Cave in Onikişubat district of Kahramanmaraş, was rescued from his location and taken to the hospital with the search and rescue operation carried out under the coordination of AFAD.

According to the information obtained, Kahramanmaraş 112 Emergency Call Center was notified at 13.10 that a child was injured by falling in the Döngel Cave and was stranded at the point where he was found. Upon notice, AFAD, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the region.

11 personnel and 2 vehicles from AFAD, 3 personnel and 1 vehicle from the gendarmerie, and 3 personnel and 1 ambulance from the medical teams participated in the search and rescue activities. As a result of the joint activity carried out under the coordination of AFAD, the 14-year-old boy who was trapped in the cave was rescued alive.

The injured child, who was given first aid by medical teams at the scene, was sent to the hospital by ambulance to continue his treatment. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
