Amedspor, one of the new teams of the Super League, is shaken by a major internal crisis while the preparations for the new season continue. 28-year-old Çekdar Orhan, one of the captains of the team, made very harsh allegations against the club management in a long and striking statement on his social media account.
The experienced football player, who stated that he left his comfort zone in the past and returned to Amedspor in the 2nd League due to his sense of belonging and that he faced many difficulties, including racism, claimed that he was isolated and treated unfairly in his own club after the championship.
Clarifying the question "why he did not attend the camp", which was a matter of curiosity in the public, Çekdar Orhan said, "About a week before the preparation camp, Football Branch Manager Mustafa Altın called me and told me that I would not be taken to the camp and that I needed to find a club. I respect technical decisions but the management style was unacceptable. When I requested to join the camp to keep in shape, they told me, 'Don't call anyone, I have the authority. "They said, 'Bring us 15-20 million liras, then you are free,'" he said.
Stating that he called the other Football Branch Manager Nedim Şimşek after the crisis, Orhan claimed that he received the answer: "Don't involve me in these matters, go tell your problem to the management." Stating that despite contacting many managers, no one took responsibility and he was left in uncertainty for weeks, the football player claimed that even though he was called to the first camp, he received a threatening approach saying, "If you are not transferred, you will sit on the field in Diyarbakır in August and watch the training."
Çekdar Orhan stated that he was looking for reasons other than sports performance behind his suspension from the team. The football player, who claimed that his "hair braiding" movement to draw attention to violence against women after scoring a goal during the season was a turning point, stated that he was systematically isolated from that day on. Orhan, who claimed that although the coach was happy with him, he did not have the chance to play due to administrative pressures, claimed that Club President Nahit Eren put pressure on the coach during the half-time, "Don't play Çekdar, play the new transfer". The experienced player stated that he remained silent until now upon the request of his teammates in order to prevent the championship race from being damaged, and added that similar injustices were also committed against goalkeeper Veysel Sapan.
Emphasizing that he was given the task of calming the fans in the club's difficult moments, but today he faced great disloyalty, Çekdar Orhan said, "I am not the only one who wants to be kicked out today; It is the spirit of belonging and struggle that forms the basis of this club. They can take us away, but they cannot remove this spirit from the hearts of the fans. "Amedspor fans will give the best answer to those who want to evict the club," he commented.
