The Flag Run, organized within the scope of the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day events in Eskişehir, was held with great pride and enthusiasm with the participation of national athletes.
The event, organized by the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, started at 20.30 on Wednesday. The Sancak Run started from the Nation Monument and continued through Doktorlar Street and İki Eylül Street, which were determined as the route, and ended at Governorship Square. 20-year-old national athlete Edanur Tulum and 17-year-old national athlete Damla Altan, who proudly carried the flag at the event, had emotional moments. Young athletes drew attention to the meaning and importance of July 15 and expressed their happiness in taking part in this meaningful day.

Edanur Tulum, the 20-year-old first national athlete who had the honor of carrying the flag in the race, expressed the deep sadness that July 15 left them with and the pride of the flag he carried with the following words:
"July 15 saddened us deeply and the meaning of this run is both emotional and exciting for me. I am happy and proud to carry the flag. As far as I know, the running distance is around 200 meters, which is quite low. I normally run 400 meters, this can be considered as a training for me. I am very happy and proud to do the banner run and carry the flag."

Another 17-year-old national athlete, Damla Altan, who participated in the event, emphasized the sensitivity of Eskişehir young people to national holidays and special days. Stating that he is excited, Altan said, "I am excited, we will commemorate the meaning of today with this ceremony. As young people, we, as young people from Eskişehir, cherish such days and their special meanings very well.
