In his statements to Demirören News Agency (DHA), Galatasaray Coach Okan Buruk made evaluations regarding the future of Mauro Icardi and the transfer planning of the yellow-red team.
Answering the question about whether Icardi will stay in the team or not, Buruk stated that the process is not yet clear and said, "Whether Icardi will stay or not... You know, it has been a long time. About 2 months have passed. Our president is conducting the negotiations. There has been no situation." he said.
Saying that the Argentinian striker's situation also affected the transfer planning, the experienced coach said, "When the foreigner rule came to 10+4, a new planning was needed. It has been a long time whether Icardi will stay or not. There has been no such situation for about 2 months. This is one of the reasons why we are moving slowly in the transfer. But of course, there are many players we are in talks with." he said.
Emphasizing that they will establish a strong squad before the new season, Okan Buruk said, "We need to create a squad depth that will lead the season in the best way. We will do this clearly." he said.
