Ziya Erdal, former captain of Trendyol 1. Lig team Sivasspor, stated that he is happy and proud to serve the red-and-white club as an assistant coach.

Erdal made statements to reporters about his new role and Sivasspor's goals before the training session held at the club facilities.

Explaining his happiness at returning to the fields where he competed as a player for years, this time as part of the technical staff, Erdal said, "I hope it will be beneficial; we trained on this field for years. Now we are in a different role. I hope we will help our club with our experience and knowledge. I am very happy to be here again. I am also proud to have returned to my home, my nest."

Erdal stated that he had always considered coaching, saying, "For this, I first needed to obtain a B license, and I have done so. I will try to coach and develop myself during this process, helping Sivasspor and my teammates with the knowledge of our coach İsmet Taşdemir."

Referring to the significant difference between coaching and playing football, Erdal stated, "The working process is much more comprehensive. Coaching is a very different path. You work 24 hours a day. In football, 3-4 hours were sufficient, but in coaching, there's analysis, opponent analysis, training methods, individual analysis, a training program based on the tactics you'll employ, and many different activity environments."

Erdal thanked those who trusted him and contributed to his arrival at the team, stating that he would try to make every effort to bring Sivasspor to its rightful place.
