At the "Sports Security Meeting" held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the security measures to be implemented in the new season were evaluated.
According to the statement made by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Sports Security Meeting, where the security measures to be taken in sports competitions before the new season were evaluated, was held at GAMER Meeting Hall with the participation of Minister Mustafa Çiftçi and Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak.
General Director of Police Ali Fidan, Gendarmerie General Commander General Ali Çardakcı, General Director of Sports Services of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Veli Ozan Çakır and General Director of Legal Services Ahmet Can Acaroğlu attended the meeting.
81 provincial governors and provincial police chiefs also attended the meeting via video conferencing system.
At the meeting, competition security, safety of away teams, precautions to be taken in the stands and plans to spend the season in peace and security were evaluated before the new season.
Activities to strengthen coordination between relevant institutions and cooperation between ministries were discussed.
Security measures for the new season, in which 18 teams will compete in the Super League, 20 in the 1st League, 35 in the 2nd League, 54 in the 3rd League, 144 in the Transition to Professional League and 1,250 in the Super Amateur League, were discussed.
"We don't want to leave any blank space regarding sports safety."
In his statement at the meeting, Çiftçi stated that they came together to evaluate the issues regarding sports safety before the new season, especially sports safety and the measures to be taken in the stands after the matches start.
Emphasizing that all institutions will act in coordination in the new season, Minister Çiftçi said, "We want our governors, provincial police chiefs and provincial gendarmerie commanders to take very strict precautions, especially when the matches start this year. We do not want to leave any empty space regarding sports security." he said.
Minister Bak made evaluations about the practices carried out to ensure security in sports competitions.

Drawing attention to the practices carried out within the scope of the law in question, Bak emphasized the importance of coordination between governorships and law enforcement units.

At the meeting, safety data for the 2025-2026 football season was also evaluated.
In this context, it was shared that 1 million 196 thousand 708 police officers and 305 thousand 147 private security personnel worked in 112 thousand 361 competitions, 18 million 742 thousand 448 fans followed the competitions, 5 thousand 655 people were prosecuted and judicial or administrative proceedings were carried out in 502 competitions.
