The 3rd leg races of the Turkish Rafting Championship, organized by the TURKISH Canoe Federation, started in Çatak district of Van. 36 teams and 180 athletes from 9 provinces of Türkiye competed fiercely to qualify on the challenging 300-meter course of Botan Stream.
In the organization organized under the coordination of Çatak District Governorate, Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports and Turkish Canoe Federation; Races are held in U19, U23 men, senior men, senior women, star women, U23 mixed, senior mixed and star mixed categories. 180 athletes from 9 provinces performed on the rapids course on the first day of the 3-day championship. The races were followed by Turkish Canoe Federation Coordinator Gürkan Köse, referees, coaches and sports fans.

Stating that the organization continues successfully, Turkish Canoe Federation Coordinator Gürkan Köse said, "We are organizing the 3rd leg of the Turkish Rafting Championship in Çatak. 36 teams and 180 athletes are participating in the races. We are organizing an organization of approximately 250 people, including referees and coaches. Our championship will last three days. We are completing the races on the first day. Botan Stream has a very suitable and high-quality track for rafting. Our athletes are also excited to compete here." "He is pleased," he said.
At the end of the championship, the teams that rank in their categories will earn points in the Turkish Championship general classification.
